While in Wadi Rum, enjoy an exciting jeep safari tour during the cooler hours of the day – the best time to photograph during the magic hour. Our day trips to Wadi Rum cover all of Wadi Rum’s main attractions and turn off the main tourist trail to explore the little-known trails few tourists see. Third, the day was filled to the brim with exciting moments such as exploring Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and then Wadi Rum, the famous Lawrence of Arabia Desert. After your first day in Petra, you will head to your Bedouin hotel or camp in nearby Wadi Moussa.

Stargazing experience in Wadi Rum

For travelers planning a day trip from Aqaba or Wadi Musa, it is best to save time on a jeep tour of the surrounding area. The jeeps, which are commonly used in Ram by small tour operators, are usually driven by young locals and spend no more than 4 hours visiting Ram itself. However, during our tour of Wadi Rum, we saw amazing ancient carvings and spectacular sites such as the Lawrence Spring, Hasali Canyon, Anfisha Inscriptions, Lawrence House, Little Arch, Um Fruit stone bridge and Red Sand Dunes.

Hiking in Wadi Rum

If you prefer a jeep, camel, or two legs, you will need a guide to show you around – private cars are not recommended outside of the Wadi Rum Visitor Center. First, it was a day filled with beautiful scenery. We took a 2 hour private tour with a local guide who took us through many of Petra’s key attractions.

Wadi Rum Camping

Bedouin cooperatives have cars and guides that can be rented every day, and the price of a four-hour tour will set you back around $ 95. Jeep tours are the most efficient way to see everything, and range from two hours to several days of sightseeing. On our 3 day and 2 night tour, we were led by the most amazing guide Nawaf and the rest of the team. Don’t be intimidated by the lack of Western-style housing; enchanting Bedouin hospitality and the majestic beauty of the desert make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Although the word “wadi” in Arabic means “valley”, many believe that “rum” most likely comes from the root of the Aramaic word meaning high or tall.

cooking Zarb food in wadi Rum camp

Visiting this beautiful part of Jordan was one of our best experiences. One of the best moments of our experience in the Space Village was the setting. Then Feras took us to the camp, we drank more tea and a traditional Bedouin dinner (they call it in Zarb). Our family has lived here for centuries and we know and love the desert as an old friend.
